Daddies are for Wrestling

A few moves ago back in Illinois some friends of ours with kids told us a funny story about how one of their boys had decided that "Daddies are for wrestling, mommies are for snuggling." This was in our pre-kid days and we just laughed and didn't think much of it except that it was a cute kid story. Cooper is definitely following in those footsteps though. I'm not a great rough-houser in general, and being pregnant, would rather avoid the wrestling scene. And, this is just one area Ben will always do better than me. Cooper likes to play 'a-tackle' as he calls it, particularly if he's been watching football with Ben, which there has been a lot of lately.

First, there's the 'atackle' stance, then a running leap onto Ben

I meant to get this up on Friday since these are phone photos, but got sidetracked with another snow day/preschool closed. This weekend we hosted a party for Ben's work group at our house so all day Saturday was spent cleaning and prepping the house and today I was just lazy, so here it is Sunday evening rather than Friday. Now that I am catching up with what everyone has been up to, this reminds me of what Joanna said about the difference between moms and dads. The whole time I would be worried about injuries, and these two have a blast 'atackling'.

YES! Lee rough-houses with both of the girls, and they love it! Daddies are definitely for wrestling!

Yep, daddies are for wrestling. I do some with Michael, but my power bombs are a little too careful for Michael's tastes.

It's not that I don't like wrestling, just not for extended periods of time LOL. When I'm home with J he'll beg me to wrestle with him, and I'm good for a couple of minutes but it gets old really quick. Daddy, however, can wrestle/roughhouse with J for what seems like hours before they tire of it. Boys.
