Big Apple Circus, Boston Spring 2009
Cooper outside the circus
While most days at our house resemble a circus at some point during the day, we're attempting the real circus tomorrow! Last year we did the one ring Big Apple Circus in Boston, and tomorrow it's the big circus, Zing Zang Zoom Barnum and Bailey Circus in Nashville. Cooper is excited to see big elephants, and pretty much all the animals and acts except the lions because their roar is too loud for him he says. I have been prepping him for this and talking about the differences in the circus we saw last year to this circus. During the few days where he has been at home with me while I have had to work he likes to have 'important meetings' (just as a side note, he likes to talk to his 'clients' on the phone, and any important work meeting involves food and giving people 'a head's up' on what's going on. He obviously picks up on a lot of what Ben and I do or talk about for work?!?). During our important meetings we talk about and list the animals and things we will see at the circus or sometimes forest animals, or rooms in our house, whatever Cooper picks, although it's almost always circus animals and sights. I am a little nervous that it will be sound and sensory overload for him, and I am certain he won't try cotton candy or any other fun circus food (he really doesn't know what he's missing!), but I hope he enjoys it!
