Circus Photo Progression & Music

Here's how Cooper started out the circus. Too loud, too much of everything - overload

On the way out after the circus, all smiles!

Shortly after getting in the car to go home. Still clutching his prize from the circus (a total rip off at $22 and is already in need of new batteries, but he loves it).

A fun time for all of us, but I had to wonder about the elephants and tigers, and really all the animal performers and their care and treatment. I'm not trying to get all PETA'd out, I did find some animal care FAQ on the website, but a neighbor also told me that she went to Thailand to an elephant rescue and since then cannot enjoy going to the circus. On a brighter and funnier note, when you ask Cooper what his favorite part of the circus is he says the cannons (they shot people out of cannons at the end of the first act) and seeing a lady in a wheelchair with her leg in cast. We saw her on our way into the Sommet Center and he heard an ambulance at the same time, so I think he put it together that the ambulance was there for her (it wasn't)?

In a totally unrelated but still entertaining Cooper item, we have finally broken away somewhat from listening to children's music in the car and listening to the radio. I generally listen to a classic rock station (I like all kids of music, I don't mind county, but don't enjoy it in the car and that's about 99% of the stations here since we're so close to Nashville). The other day an AC/DC song came on and this happens to be Ben's favorite band so I was telling Cooper about that. His response was that the singer was not very good and sounded funny. I can't argue with him, he's right. Cooper also likes the Beatles, a Steely Dan song that he recognizes from Guitar Hero, and Lady Gaga on the times that we listen to top 40, but I think it's because he likes saying her name. Any time a song is on he wants to know if it's Lady Gaga singing and laughs.

LOL Devin LOVES Lady Gaga! He recognizes her most current popular song and always asks me to "turn it up" when it comes on! They are so funny!
