I guess I could have also titled this my excuse list!
We have had lots of house projects in the last couple of weeks. I think nesting is taking a different form for me this time than last time. Or maybe it's because the nursery is just about complete and I needed more projects to focus on? We had our master bedroom, bathroom and closet repainted. This involved unloading everything from our closet, relocating upstairs to the guest room/soon-to-be nursery, and sharing Cooper's bathroom for a few days. It apparently didn't take us long to adjust to a larger home than we had in Massachusetts where we all three shared a tiny full bath upstairs because we felt cramped all in one bathroom again. We then had the bright idea that since our closet was cleared out it would also be a great time to get the carpets cleaned. So, two additional walk in closets had to be cleaned out with their belongings relocated until the carpets were clean and dry. And moved back in. Our subdivision is having a neighborhood wide garage sale this weekend, so not everything in the closets made their way back and are now waiting to be sold in the morning. We also had to clean out and organize the garage in order to have the sale at our house. Also this week Ben has had work commitments one evening, I had one another evening and a visit to a client in Nashville one day. An eye exam, a doctor's appointment, a teacher appreciation brunch to assist with, an appointment to try on (yeah, right, at 9 months pregnant?) and order my bridesmaid dress (it's super cute and I am very excited about it and the cute shoes Kim picked out), and t-ball practice and a t-ball game tomorrow. Ben is on solo t-ball duty this week because of the garage sale tomorrow and my work thing Tuesday night. I am WIPED OUT. Next weekend is Cooper's birthday party, so there is some (minor) work to be done there, but cake is ordered, party is set, pretty much all I have left are goody bags for the guests. Oh, and presents for Cooper to buy!
I have some before pictures of our bedroom, but need to get some after so you can see the transformation. I love it, and it was worth all the hassle- better now than after we have a newborn at the house!
