Phone Photo Friday- Game Day

Last night Cooper had another t-ball game. His team played the Yankees. I was a little worried he might make some comments about the team to the other team because he DOES NOT like the Yankees being a true Red Sox fan. As far as I know he didn't say anything negative about the Yankees although after his experience at the game last night I am sure it did not help his perception of them as a team. On his second attempt to score during the game he was running as fast as he could from third base to home plate and as he was about to touch the plate a Yankee player with the ball crashed into him at full speed. The umpire called it as an out although we're not really sure whether the other player actually tagged him with the ball or not. The call doesn't matter so much, except that after all that effort it would have been nice if he had gotten the run. Cooper's coach told him he got cheated out of the run and carried him off the field. He was a trooper and made a quick recovery with just a small scrape on his arm. This picture doesn't really show exactly how covered in dirt he was, but he was COVERED up and down his right side including his face. I have my work cut out for me trying to get his shirt clean today in time for his game tomorrow morning. I had forgotten to bring the regular camera, so I got one picture with my phone and it is below. Cooper talked all night about how he got cheated in scoring a run. By the time he made it to bed around 8:30 last night he was asleep in about 5 minutes.

I love the expression on his face! Makes me want to eat his cheeks!

He really is a cutie! The only thing better than sliding in dirt, is getting the play in as well.

That is one of the cutest pics of him EVER and he takes a lot of good pics. Sounds like his league is pretty competitive for t-ball. Jake's league doesn't even have outs or keep score until he moves up next year.
