Farm Field Trip!

Yesterday Cooper's class had a field trip to a farm in the area. I took the day off to help drive and go along. The weather was beautiful, and we saw lots of fun exotic animals. And after the field trip Cooper stayed at school and I went home and took a nap. It was an awesome day off!

This is about as close to the baby cow and goats Cooper wanted to be during our visit. The farmer told us the worst animals out there were the ostriches, so Cooper was worried about an encounter with an ostrich the whole time.

The farmer showing the kids the baby goats

One of the zebras

Feeding time! The goats and cow are still bottle fed, so a lot of the kids took turns feeing them from a bottle. Cooper was happy to just watch and not participate in this activity.

Getting ready for the hayride- I opted out of this activity, a little too bumpy for me right now. The kids got to see lots of other cool animals on their trip though- a kangaroo, and camels and a few others I am forgetting.

Feeding elk-- that's the back of Cooper's head- he was happy to feed them through the fence

Some of the pretty flowering trees that are blooming for spring.

Beautiful farm and how fun to go along on a field trip! Nathan's school doesn't do field trips until the preschool 4 class, should be fun!
