First T-ball Game

Cooper's first t-ball game was last night. It was so fun to watch all the children on his team in their uniforms and having a great time at the game. At one point about half of the outfield players were sitting down playing in the grass and they all seemed to enjoy playing in the dirt a lot too. At 4 they are still learning so much I think it's hard to put it all together on what you do when, but they do have a few coaches out at a time to help them. Cooper's first time up to bat he struck out, but the second time Cooper made it on base. And, he even scored a run! I think his team won 9 to 8, but I wasn't really keeping track. He was very excited to have scored a run. Toward the end of the game he had a melt down in the dugout saying he was tired and wanted to go home. I think it was a combination of a long day (preschool, play time with friends, and then the game) and being hungry since dinner didn't happen until after the game. But, he rallied and finished the game with his team. He says he is excited about the next game on Saturday. While most of us would rather be getting our sleep, his game starts at 8 am. He's an early bird so that time will work out great for him. I may be there in sweats and require a little coffee though. Here are some pictures from last night:
