30 Weeks, Baby Name & Cooper Update

By request I am posting a new bump picture. Taken last night in front of the crib, here you go! 10 weeks to go and it feels both far off and coming up fast.

Me at X+19 lbs is a little more than I wanted to be at this point, but my doctor says its fine and that I should target 1 lb each week from now on. Have I mentioned my sister in law is getting married in September so I have motivation to lose the baby weight quickly to fit into a bridesmaid dress by Labor Day weekend?

Grapefruit is about 3 of those 19 additional pounds and I think she wants to be an Olympic gymnast. This girl can MOVE!

Speaking of baby names... I have had two come back on my list that I had taken off- Sydney and Callie. I have flip flopped on these two but they keep coming back to me. I have been trying to run all the names by Cooper with a mostly negative response. Now he seems to have moved on slightly from Grapefruit into his classmates sibiling's names. One of his friends has a sister named Addie, another one with a sister named Ellen. He told me yesterday his baby sister would be Addie until she is older and then she would be Ellen. Not sure why the switch, except that the sibling Addie is younger than he is, and Ellen is older. The only name I have suggested to him from my list that he likes is Sydney, so we may have a winner there.

Also on the Cooper train, he has said some funny things lately. I took him to the playground on Sunday because the weather was so nice. On the way home he said "While I was playing my brain was telling me that Grandma was looking for Christmas presents for me." And, a few days ago he said "So I was thinking that on Wednesday I would try out some new karate moves." Uh, OK. He's big on the 'big three' (birthday, Halloween, Christmas) so I am not too surprised he's thinking about Christmas. But, he's not in karate nor have we talked about it much, so that was pretty random.

That is so funny what Cooper said about Grandma shopping for his Christmas present. Super cute! And I already commented on FB about how adorable you look pregnant.

Somehow I missed the name post but I definitely have to say that Kelsey and Sydney are my favorites and they both sound good with Marie as a middle name and they both sound good with Cooper. I have to tell you that I really, really, really wanted to name Jadyn Kelsey but ultimately decided to stick with the J name. Can't wait to find out what you decide.

You look great, seriously! I have gained 20+ already and if I gain another 10+ I will not be happy! My little girl is a gymnast too, or maybe karate kid is a little more appropriate, she hurts me!

Okay also, I know you weren't asking for more name suggestions but since it is the same vein as several of the names you mentioned I wanted to add Kenna. How cute does Cooper and Kenna sound together but it doesn't start with the same letter so it is not TOO matchy-matchy. I won't be offended if you don't like it. I still love Sydney and Kelsey too.

I love baby bumps. You look gorgeous! I hope you feel as great as you look!

We have an Addie and a Maddy in my neighborhood. It's very confusing.

Completely understand not using a name because of association. Given all you said, I definitely think Sydney may be the winner.

And no I didn't know they were going to have a pink background - the photographer had several and thought the pink on pink would look good. She was right!

Thanks for sharing a new bump picture! You look adorable.

And I might be in the minority but I like Callie and Cooper. We have Sydney (my niece) and Sidney (my BIL) in our family! Looks like you may not have a Grapefruit after all.

She's a Sidney . . . not sure why, but she is. Its one of those popping names that makes you go "Yeah, that one!!" :-)
