Everything is Better with Sprinkles

Recently Cooper has decided he likes sprinkle cookies. He's a VERY picky eater with a very limited palate, so adding in something new even if it was a cookie has been OK. On Wednesday last week we went to meet Cooper's new pediatrician and get his annual flu shot. Cooper took his flu vaccine as well as can be expected and I took him to get him a cookie when it was all done. He he is shortly after getting the prized sprinkle cookie:

Cooper is true to picky form though and will not consider any other type of cookie, it must be a sprinkle cookie. We made some sugar cookies at home, added frosting and sprinkles, and again, he was a happy camper and loved helping with them.

This morning Ben went to get bagels from Panera. Cooper does not eat bread. EVER. Have I mentioned that he is picky? Cooper went along and decided to choose a regular bagel. A first. However, by the time the boys got home and we were getting ready to have the bagels Cooper changed his mind and refused his bagel. Not surprising given his self imposed no bread rule. You know how sometimes a lightbulb goes off? I offered to make it a sprinkle bagel and Cooper was sold. He ended up having 1/4 of the bagel, but look at that smile....

Do you think he will go for sprinkle broccoli?? :)

I have gotten my kids to eat a lot by letting them dip it in ketchup. Sprinkles are genius!

I would totally do that. Michael is into sprinkles right now too, so I may just have to buy some and try them out on various foods. I'm thinking sprinkles on chicken might be worth a shot.

I remember the days of picky eater Jake being picky, picky, beyond picky eater Jake. It does get better. Sprinkles is a great idea. For Jake, the magic ingredient was ranch. Now I can't even stand the smell of it because he puts on everything. He even tried it with watermelon once.
