Cooper "Tiger Woods"

The first time we took Cooper mini golfing we weren't sure what he would think of it. Like your typical preschooler, you never know what you'll get as a reaction to something new, but it's bound to be extreme. In this case, it was extremely positive. He loves it. However, he likes to make up his own rules. For instance, he does not like to start at the beginning of the hole. He wants to place his ball about 2 inches from the hole and 'whack it in!' as he says on the first try. Then, when it's the next person's turn and we start at the beginning and don't make it in the first time he will say "Let me show you how it's done Mommy/Daddy/Papa/Grandma!". Or, he will start playing someone else's ball to try and get it in the hole for them. Each time we move on to the next hole, he says "On to the next level!" So far it's been too hilarious to try and correct him too much, but we're slowly coaching him to start at the beginning of the hole. Once he started to pick that up, he also added a hilarious follow through 'pose' to his swing as pictured below. It's almost like a cross between a baseball swing and a bowling stance:

His typical stance to begin the golf hole...

Steph - too cute! I just added your blog to my feed after you left me a comment last week. I remember Cooper from BBC because wasn't he the TCP lion in the Cutest Picture Ever? If so, you are the reason I HAD to have that costume for JTC, and AJC is wearing it this year. =)

Alex loves putt putt but Nate got bored after 5 minutes. It was one of those "family bonding" experiences that don't go so well! ha!

I love the "rules" that kids come up with. As adults, we spend so much time dealing with the expected I think that sometimes we forget how much of the "expected" is learned. It's funny when kids flip the whole thing upside down on us.

Cute, cute cute! Mini golf is on my to do list with the family now that the weather is cooler.

And I added up your TV hours for you. It's 8 hours total but I noticed you didn't mention Fringe. You are not watching it anymore? BUT Josh Jackson is SOOO cute.
