Quickie House Project

Ben gets an itch to do a house project every now and then. You may recall the closet in our bedroom he did in December. He got the itch again the weekend before my parents were coming to visit and the only room that had not been touched by our renovations was the dining room, so it became the next target. Had I been thinking about the blog at the time I would have taken some before pictures, but I wasn't so all I have are a few 'afters'. Before, the top half of the wall was red (almost the same color as the curtains in the picture) and the bottom half and all the trim was a weird dirty looking yellow. We used paint we already had from all the other projects around the house, and I rehung the same curtains, so all in all it was a pretty thrifty project. The re-use of the paint was good for two reasons- we already had it, and it keeps the look in the same color palate as the rest of the rooms. It is so much brigher and seems like a much larger room than before. I wonder what the next one will be?
