1. We were all on 'celebrity patrol' because there was a celebrity golf tournament going on around the same time we were there... Ben Roethlisberger was at Cabo Wabo Monday night when we had dinner there and Erin and Will ended up in an elevator with Emmit Smith on Tuesday morning. The most memorable things about their encounter were being blinded by his huge diamond earring and the fact that he did not have a bodyguard with him. I still stand by my statement that the small guy in the elevator with the other three was a ninja.
2. Ben and I doubled our money in the casino Monday night and won a little more on Tuesday night, then mostly lost it all again on Wednesday morning. We must be better gamblers after a few drinks based on that experience. Of course, when I say doubled my money, I started with $20 and ended with $40 one night. I stick to the slot machines so my winnings are small potatoes compared to Ben at the blackjack table. He has skills. If words spelled wrong on purpose were not my pet peeve I might even go so far as to use skillz. But I won't.
3. Ben was mistaken for Jeremy (the groom) multiple times by many different people, including some of Jeremy's own family. So, they are either long lost twins or stunt doubles. Either way, DC and I have great taste in men, don't you think?? You can see for yourself in this 'after' picture Wednesday morning at breakfast. In case you can't tell them apart, Jeremy's on the left, Ben on the right.

4. DC's comment in the limo about the officiant at the ceremony--- he was good and knew all his lines without having to reference the Bible he was holding so it meant that the Bible was there "for God".
5. Lots of fun dancing--- Ben and DC doing the Thriller dance at the reception; Erin and I being able to do the "Cotton Eyed Joe" dance after a long break from regular Thursday night outings to Hunky's in Ames (let's not count how many years ago that was); the Stemm family inviting the Heefner family to dance to "Crazy Train".
6. Being close to tears just mentioning DC's wedding the whole time I was in Tahoe, then holding back the tears as DC walked down the aisle with her dad and making it through the ceremony without any tears falling. Then having a full force waterworks cry fest when Erin gave her speech as maid of honor.
7. The beautiful location of Lake Tahoe.
8. Being together with great friends!
