Hope you liked the pictures from Wednesday! In honor of Natalie's upcoming visit I had to post some cute pictures of my niece and her recent adventures in California.
Cooper has had a fun week- we took him to the beach one evening this week- he loves it. He still does not want to get too close to the water, but loves running and playing in the sand. Last night at home he played with one of our neighbor's grandson's who is 5. Cooper had fun showing him some of his toys, but was not quite prepared for sharing at home, especially when they played with his Jeep outside.
His vocabulary is increasing every day and his enunciation is getting clearer all the time. Some of his favorite phrases lately:
"Doing Mommy? Doing Daddy?" He wants to know what we're doing at all times, repeatedly. It gets old after he's been on repeat with this one for a while. I am editing to add "Happened?" as another favorite that's on repeat.... as in "What happened?" each and every time something, anything happens, or doesn't happen.
"I wonder...." This is too cute- he'll start a sentence saying "I wonder" and put his finger on his head like he's really pondering his question very thoughtfully. So far he's wondered where a lot of toys are, where is Bailey, the neighbor's cats, and where his stickers are.
"Big. Huge. Mongous" I keep trying to say it's humongous, but he disagrees and likes the combo huge mongous as two words better. Particularly when he's on the lookout for big trucks on the road. Bonus points for either a bus or a cement truck.
This is somehwat unrelated to his prounuciation getting better, but I'm including it anyway. One of my favorite words that he says incorrectly is Cookie Monster which sounds like "Chi-Chi-Omper" when he says it. He's obessed with the Sesame Street Classics CD that he listens to in my car and knows when each character's song is coming up next, so this comes up a lot when it's time for "C is for Cookie".
Cooper has been singing a lot too- especially when he's going to sleep- some of my favorites are when he sings "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "I Love Trash" from his crib. One of the cutest times of the evening is listening to his concerts over the monitor.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I don't know what it is about the words "Cookie Monster," J says that one really weird, too. He can say those two words separately just fine but when he says "Cookie Monster" togther it's so garbled, I can't even really come up with a way to type it. Cookalonstler? Cookanoshler? Something like that LOL.
Aw! I love all of those things. Cami does the finger to her chin thing, but she says "hmm" haha! " I wonder" is adorable
She also says "What doin" to both of us all the time!! It gets a little repetitive. haha
