Cooper's New Do

Cooper got a haircut this weekend. He was not thrilled with it, but it had gotten way too long and now with the warmer weather too hot.

Here he is trying to slide under his bed in an attempt to avoid having his picture taken Saturday night before bed:

Sunday downtown on the boardwalk

Another picture from Sunday while downtown

Cooper was upset that I asked him to have his picture taken- he was having too much fun looking at all the boats and the ocean/river going by. We are definitely in a terrible 2's phase!

I know I have talked a lot about his pickiness with food in the past and I usually try to not let it bother me, but since I have a few positive things to share about it here we go: Just last week Cooper decided he liked ketchup. This is the first condiment type item he has had- usually no matter what he's eating it has to be plain- no butter on pancakes or waffles, especially no syrup, to this day he will not eat a sandwich of any type. So, ketchup is a start. And, last week he had a few meals where he actually fed himself instead of us having to feed him- this is huge! Given the choice between feeding himself and starving Cooper would pretty much never eat except for snacks like goldfish crackers. So, rather than letting him starve either Ben or I feed him at meal times. He is capable of feeding himself, and I know at some point we will have to force him to either feed himself or not eat. But, because he's such a picky eater I have not been able to bring myself to do that yet and have been hoping he would just pick it up on his own. Last week he had some successes with this, so hopefully it continues!

I love his new haircut!! He looks like such a big boy. I'm right there with you on the feeding thing. Garrett USED to feed himself, but no more. Most of the time he makes me sit in the rocker and feed him. Like you, I just don't have the energy to mess with it!! Loved the Baily update too . . . she's such a a pretty girl!

I love it when lil boys get their haircut. They immediately look bigger and cuter than ever and Cooper is no exception.
Maybe the eating thing is inheritantly male b/c Jake was the pickest eater and until about a year ago (he just turned 4) we would have to feed him to ensure he actual ate something that was not a snack food. So I feel ya. For Jake, we discovered he will eat almost anything with ranch, including some combos that would seem pretty unappetizing (think gummy snacks). The only thing that saved us from completely worrying about him from 2-3 years of age was pedisure. Anyway, Jadyn would never let us fed her - she has to do it all by herself so again maybe it's a guy thing.

OMG, I love love love Cooper's eyes! His haircut is cute too. I say coat everything in ketchup. If you find something he will eat, go with it girl!
