Checking In with Bailey

Since this is the Cooper and Bailey update, I guess it’s time to get some news on Bailey! Bailey recently celebrated her 6th birthday. For her birthday she received a new Iowa State collar that I am convinced she loves more than any collar she has had before. She’s really enjoying the nice weather we have been having since she now goes on more frequent walks. She’s getting better at being in large crowds too- over Memorial Day weekend we walked downtown with Cooper and Bailey to the Spring Festival and she remained relatively calm despite all the people, children and other dogs enjoying the festival. She still has to use her Gentle Leader (which frequently gets mistaken for a muzzle) but is otherwise a good walker. And, Bailey’s dog walker who takes care of her when we are out of town e-mailed to say she missed Bailey! Who knew such a wild and crazy puppy from a Social Circle, GA shelter would grow up to be such a great dog? She has been really well behaved around Cooper lately too- he has had quite a few time outs because he tried to kick her on occasion and she has been laid back about it all.
