Bumper Cars!

Cooper earned his trip to the bumper cars at Lanes, Trains & Automobiles for his behavior chart last week, so tonight Cooper, Abby and I met Ben over there for a family night of fun. Cooper was a little too short for the bumper cars, but it was just he and Ben so they let him in anyway. With the way he reacts to loud noises and the dark we weren't sure if he would like it or freak out, but he loved it and was surprisingly skilled at driving the bumper car. As soon as they started up the lights went off and an old dance track (a C & C Music Factory song maybe?) started up at the highest volume possible. Bumper cars have changed a lot from what I remember bumper cars being like as a kid- now they are surrounded with a giant inner tube looking thing and the steering is like those professional riding lawn mowers.

Getting his seat belt on and ready to go

Running into Ben, repeat this a bunch of times and you get the idea of how the ride went

Team work on the race car game- Cooper was too short to reach the gas and brake pedals. He did the steering and Ben manned the gas/brake for him

Here's a shot of how Abby did during the trip-- how this girl slept through all that noise is beyond me, but she was great!

The second one has to be able to sleep through the noise the older child makes or else they would be up all the time!

That's not how I pictured bumper cars at all.

Those are weird bumper cars. We still have the old style around here. Those look much safer though.
