Whirlwind

It's been a busy week! I spent part of last week in Columbia, SC for work, was home for one day, then back to the south to go to Murfreesboro to look for a house. In addition, our house went on the market, and we got an offer that after minor negotiations we accepted. Of course I love our house here (minus the no garage + lots of snow equation every winter), but I did not expect to have it sold in 2 days. Then, we found a house in Murfreesboro that we like, made an offer and after more minor negotiations it was accepted. So, check those two things off the list- sell and buy a house in one week- DONE*! I was certainly not expecting that out of last week!

Cooper had a blast on our trip to TN, or at least as much fun as you can have when you are 3 and house hunting with your parents rather than playing all day long. He was great on the plane, was well behaved during the house showings, had a blast swimming in the hotel pool, ate chicken nuggets and french fries for every meal except breakfast (!), and was totally awed that the chef at the hotel made him pancakes every morning. I took the camera, but took exactly zero pictures this weekend.

The only downside? It's very minor, but a contributing factor in why I'm so exhausted. In the hotel, I slept in the same bed as Cooper to ensure he wouldn't fall out of the bed at least on one side. The kid is a major wiggle worm at night, and we still have bed rails up on his bed at home. So, I was kicked, pushed, and accidentally whacked in the face for two nights straight. But, Cooper did not fall out of bed once. I need a nap!

*pending all the inspections, etc, etc coming back fine and all paperwork and legal requirements being met. It's called the 'fine print' for a reason, right?

Good job on the house hunt! Sounds a lot like our moves. We have always done the find a house in a week plan too. Exhausting, but worth it in the end!

I didn't know you were in Columbia last week. Next time you are going to be here for work, I would love to get together!

Dude! That was a crazy busy week. I'm so glad that both the house selling and buying went so well.

With the market right now it is no surprise that you found a house, but that is absolutely awesome that you were able to sell yours so quickly. Congrats!

Congrats. Our house has been on the market for a whole year and no one has bought it!
