I know the name of the post is random. It's a song that Cooper used to sing at music class and it gets stuck in my head when we go to Boston. As you know, Grandma and Papa O came to visit for a week and for a weekend they had Cooper on their own while Ben and I had a fun weekend in NYC. Unfortunately the weather was terrible while they were visiting us and rained almost every day. We were lucky that on the day we had
Duck Boat tour tickets it was just overcast and did not rain on us. I was not sure what to expect from the tours since all I knew of them is the quacking passengers from the tours that pass by some of the major historical sites in town. It was totally worth it! Our tour guide talked non-stop for an hour and a half, and knew all kinds of interesting facts about the city. He also let the kids on the tour 'drive' while we were in the Charles River portion of the tour. Cooper was a little too small to steer, but he did get to come up front and sit right next to the driver. I was not sure if he would want to do that or not, but when he got called he walked right down to the front and loved it. After the tour we had lunch at Legal Seafood and walked around for a while. It was pretty cold that day so while everyone else went to check out the boats in the harbor I took Cooper on a carousel ride. I let him pick the horse he wanted and he settled on pink. He had a blast and kept saying "This is fun! I love it!" the whole way around. It would have been great, except another little boy on a horse close to Cooper's kept making comments about Cooper being on a pink horse. Who cares what color horse he wants to be on? It was totally annoying and I wish I knew where that kid's mother was to mention to her that he needed to keep his comments to himself. Good thing that Cooper did not hear him, he was too excited about the ride.
Grandma and Papa O on the duck boat

The best $4 Papa O has ever spent- on duck lips! Cooper is still quacking them and are one of his favorite toys of the moment.

They do Duck boats in Philly too, but I've never done it. Maybe it's worth a try.
As far as finding the mother of the kid with the pink problem...I'm guessing he gets that attitude at home, so I'm not sure what good finding her would do. I'm glad Cooper didn't hear him.
We have been wanting to do a Duck boat tour for years. Still haven't done it yet. I will one of these days!!!
Looks like you guys had a great time!!!
