On the way to daycare talking about how he enjoys his new preschool class at daycare- "I'm a big boy. I live in the big kids class!"
In the very crowded grocery store on Saturday morning
Cooper, "Mommy, come here, I have to tell you something."
Me, leaning in toward him sitting in the cart, "What do you want to tell me, Cooper?"
Cooper, whispering like he has the best secret in the world to share, "Thomas is a Really Useful Engine!"
Cooper and Ben were playing indoor soccer in the family room last night (with a very soft non-damaging soccer ball) and Cooper sat down to rest and said, "My rump needs a break!"
Cooper has also apparently learned that flattery will get you everywhere. When we are done reading stories and it's time for bed he will start patting my shoulder or face and say funny, sweet things like: "I like your eyebrows", "I like you Mommy", "I like your ears", "I like your eyes", "You have blue eyes like me?", "I'm happy!", "I have on my happy face", "Mommy, put on your happy face!". Of course, eventually he has to go to bed, but at least he's in a good mood after all that flattery!
Here's a picture just for Dad- Cooper wanted to wear all of his construction gear he got for Christmas tonight, this is the first time he's wanted to wear the suspenders and tool belt. He had a tough time smiling with the goggles and hard hat on!
Cooper is still enjoying music class at daycare. He gets a new instrument, CD and booklet every month. Last night we had a band night where we each had one of his instruments and played together- Cooper on rhythm sticks (complete with train hat because of the train whistle from this month's new music set), Ben had the tambourine, and I had the egg shaker- we were quite the band. We also listened to his new cd for this month, which revolves around transportation. The instrument for this month is a train whistle, which he now loves to play ALL. THE. TIME. It may have to disappear for a while, but how can you resist when he's having this much fun?

What a sweetie. I love how he's trying to work the flattery magic on you.
He is such a cutie! I know what you mean about the flattery! Analese tells me a lot lately, "Mommy, you are like a princess!" Meaning I'm pretty or something. It does tend to melt your heart.
So cute. I love flattery from my kids - it just melts me. Cause they usually do it to get out of trouble. LOL
Braeden says that he agrees about Thomas!TOOT TOOT
