Is it just me, or is anyone else glad February is almost over? It has been a long month for having the fewest number of days. We've spent lots of time at various doctors offices this month, and lots of time indoors due to cold weather. It is definitely time for some nice weather and outside time.
Doctor updates for this week- we took Cooper in this week to the pediatrician because he has a cough that will not go away- he's had it since the croup incident earlier in the month, which actually may not have been croup according to the pediatrian we saw this week. She said Cooper's symptoms are similar to what the majority of the kids have this month- a cough that starts out barky and croup-y, but is actually a lingering mild RSV virus. Poor little man has been coughing a lot, but less at night than in the past few weeks. He is a lot grumpier for it as well, but then again, maybe he is just stir crazy like the rest of us! The normal course for the virus is about three weeks according to the doctor, so I guess we brought him in just in time for the end of this cycle... here's hoping for that anyway! I also asked about allergies and she did not think that he had any (or at least the coughing was unrelated). In other doctor related news I had my bone density testing done today- it was fast and easy, and hopefully the results are fine. I should know in about a week on that one. This week I am at full strength with the bromocriptine, so far so good there too with no major adverse reactions.
Looking ahead to March begins a very busy travel time for both Ben and I. In March and April there is only one week each month where we are both at home for a whole week at a time. We have a mix of work and fun travel with two weddings coming up in April and May and both weddings coincide with family visits too! Now, if only we could get some warmer weather headed our way!
