What We Did on Fall Break

Schools in Murfreesboro have a week of fall break every year in October. Last year it came as a surprise to us since we had just moved and were getting settled in, plus we were both working full time. This year we were able to do a little planning so we took a couple of days and went to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach, AL with our friends. It was a perfect time to be there- the weather was still nice and not too hot, it is off season which means both cheaper rates for almost everything and less crowds!

After we got back from the beach we were home for one day to unpack and repack, then the next day I flew with the kids by myself (!) to San Antonio to visit my family for the weekend. I was really nervous about flying with them both, thank goodness for a direct flight! It actually went great and Abby slept most of the way and Cooper was entertained with his toys and reading stories. And, on the flight home they actually both slept almost the whole time. Whew. One of the things we did while in San Antonio was to take the kids to Love Creek Orchard in Medina, TX, here is a picture of the three cousins with some pumpkins!

Needless to say after those two traveling trips I have been a little off my game and am trying to get back in the swing of things around the house and with life in general!
