Fast forward to this week where Thursday night Cooper woke up screaming that his ears hurt. Poor little man did not sleep well and Friday afternoon we went in to see the doctor who prescribed those lovely antibiotics we know so well. Friday night he woke up with a terrible fever and said his throat hurt and he needed a breathing treatment. I like that he can point out what hurts now, but it's funny that he's attempting to diagnose himself at such a young age... Anyway, it was another poor night of sleep for him (and us). This morning we took him in together for the Saturday pediatric hour to see whoever was available to double check that everything was OK. His strep test was negative, and he's fighting a virus, but its really taking it out of poor little Cooper. Even with the Tylenol and the antibiotic for the ear infection he's been running a fever all day and he is definitely not the same happy, funny little man he usually is. I hope he has a good night's sleep tonight- he certainly needs it (and so do Ben and I). And, I am glad to have his ENT appointment already scheduled. Rather than a regular check up we may end up having to figure out if he needs his second set of tubes.
I should have never posted about how he has/had been in such good health over the last year... I don't even want to go into how he's starting to branch out in eating slightly!

I'm so sorry for you little man (and you guys too) I hope you can get new tubes soon and that the rest of three is illness free.
Hey, I like that Illness free for Three. I'm going to chant that in my house, that's for sure.
Joanna that's definitely a keeper! Reminds me of something from an old episode of How I Met Your Mother, 'puke free in 93'. Anyway, still dealing w/the illness over here. The ear infection has morphed into a virus that is really hard to tackle. We've been to the doctor 3 times in 3 days with another appointment tomorrow morning.
