New Expressions and Mother's Day Recap

Cooper has been adding a lot of new words lately and has some new favorite sayings:

"What does that sound like?" -- this is a new favorite. I think I hear it about 50,000 times a day and this question can be prompted by anything, not even just a sound. Cooper wants you to answer but sometimes wants to tell you himself about what he heard- a bird, a truck, when he burps, etc. One of his favorite uses of this phrase is when he screams, then asks "what does that sound like?" and then he answers "Cooper yelling!".

"Fly away Stanley, be free!" -- from his favorite movie, Cars. Usually it's just "fly away Stanley" but tonight he said the whole phrase. Papa O will be proud!

"1, 2, 3 Kick ball Mommy!" -- we were playing in the backyard tonight and he would say this, or "Ready, set, go. Kick ball Mommy!" as we were kicking his soccer ball back and forth. I guess I'm too slow for him already!

This weekend was great- the spa treatments were wonderful and a friend from playgroup was there which was nice. Shopping was, well, shopping with a wild toddler, but fun anyway. I got a shirt I had my eye on at the Loft and the rest of the time was spent in toy stores or trying to get Cooper to try on shoes at Stride Rite. We left with two new Cars and no shoes. Better luck this weekend for new shoes for Cooper.

Sunday Cooper gave me a Mother's Day card and we spent a lot of time outside to take advantage of a nice day. We went to the playground and for a walk, then picked out some flowers for the flower boxes in the front of the house. Once Cooper was asleep I planted them (red and orange impatiens in case you were curious). When the wild man woke up we watched Cars and spent more time outside.

Hope everyone else had a fun Mother's Day too!
