Ben was lucky at work this week and won two tickets to Game 5 of the Celtics/Pistons playoffs... we quickly asked one of the neighbor girls to babysit Cooper and went to the game in Boston last night. It was a great game, but wow, what a late night for both of us- we did not get home until close to 1 am. Thankfully Cooper slept until 6- that's a good day for him since he's such an early riser. Here are some of my random thoughts from the game last night:
Celtics fans are insane. Besides the usual cheering and rooting for the team there was also a lot of foul language, most particularly directed at the refs in the 2nd quarter. Not undeserved, but let's spice it up next time and add some variety to the mix, OK, and while we're at it, could you be careful if there are children around? Not every word has to be F this and F that. Where's the creativity? Yes, this means you Celtics guy sitting behind me. The guy behind me was so fired up that on two occasions he actually spit on me and others in our row. Not like he was intentionally trying to, he was just yelling so intently that he 'sprayed' the row in front of him. Gross.
Next time I need to bring my camera! I saw Penny Marshall and Ellen Pompeo at the game last night! Fun celeb sightings! There were also assorted Patriots players and coach Belicheck in the audience. No camera for me, but here's a photo from last night on the internet today. Do you see those tiny specks at the top of the area? Yeah, that's where our seats were. But, they were at center court, so we had a great view of the game!

Next time I will remember 'comfort over fashion' for the game- heels were a good choice for the outfit I wore, but not for the long walk from the parking garage to the Garden.
Final thought- am I the only one interested in a Celtics/Spurs final two? Most people I know say Celtics/Lakers... I think Celtics/Spurs so that the family in San Antonio and those of us in Celtics land can have a rivalry going!

LOL, at first I was like, WOW, Steph had great seats and got a good shot of Penny Marshall. Alas, I see now its from the internet, you sneaky girl :-) Sounds like you guys have had a busy and fun bunch of days. Love the pictures of Cooper at the beach too.
Ha that is funny cuz I was thinking the same thing as Angela -wow she got really close up pics of Penny Marshall and Ellen Pompeo. But that is seriously so cool and it sounds like it was super fun. Alas however, sorry to say as a Californian I am a Lakers fan.
