Well that was fast.

Summer break is already over! Yesterday was Cooper's first day back at preschool! I can't believe that summer vacation has gone by so quickly. I am confident that Cooper had a great summer- he has a long list of fun activities that I have not kept up with to record that I don't want to forget:

BounceU 1/2 day camp twice
VBS twice
A week with Grandma and Papa O by himself!
Countless trips to the pool
Lots of play time with friends
Learning how to play with sparklers on the 4th of July
Attending baseball games with Daddy
Seeing Toy Story 3 with me
The start of fall t-ball
Swim Lessons (still in progress)

Cooper has matured over the summer as well. He rarely naps these days, he is branching out somewhat in the foods he will eat (pizza! ice cream! hot dogs! and good things like green pepper and vegetable juice). Along with some of his maturing ways he also has had to work on his behavior. The behavior chart has worked well for him, although we had a really rough week the week after he got back from his vacation with Grandma and Papa. Time out alone has not been doing the trick, so we added the loss of a privilege or toy and that helped a lot. Losing his trains, cars, and trips to the pool in one week really put a cramp on his toy selection style and that helped his behavior improve as much as anything else. On the positive side of his maturing he is a really great big brother. He is very sweet with Abby and loves to talk about her to people he meets. He's always quick to let me know when she is crying and what he thinks she needs to stop whether it's a diaper change, bottle, or paci.

He has enjoyed being back at preschool and seeing old friends and making new ones this week. I still can't believe that summer break is over! I took a couple of pictures before school yesterday if only I could remember where I left the camera!

What a great blog post! I should do something similar of what we did this summer. Wow, back in school already? Nathan goes back Aug. 18th.

At least you do things with Cooper. According to Natalie we do nothing together! Just view her blog and see if that's true!
