Weekend Travel- The Good

Ben, Cooper, and I went to Iowa to visit Grandma and Papa O over the weekend. We flew out on Thursday (also 9/11- there were some memorials going on at Logan that morning) and had a smooth day of travel. We had fun visiting with everyone, and Cooper loved seeing family too.  He has a special bond with Papa O and they had a great time playing with Ben's old tractors and trucks and Cooper managed to acquire a few new cars for his collection.  Ben and his dad took out the mini-bike motorcycles and rode them around.  Friday evening Ben and I rode horses with Kim and Kyle- Cooper was a little nervous around the horses so he stayed with Grandma and Papa while we went on a short ride. Saturday was the Iowa/Iowa State game and we watched it with family. Too bad Iowa State did not even score a touchdown and the Cy-Hawk trophy goes to the Hawkeyes this year.  That evening we had dinner with Ben's grandparents, grandma, and uncle. Cooper had a great time with everyone and it was a fun weekend visit. So fun that even though we packed the camera I forgot to take any pictures!
